    Vision is like a travel brochure that builds anticipation and stirs excitement for a future vacation. It tells us where we are going. Delta's vision is the future destination where God is taking our church.


    The vision of Delta Church is to be a life-giving gospel oasis in the Springfield area. We see men and women made new by the gospel, giving life wherever they go, sowing gospel seeds, saturating every sphere of our region. The result will be the transformation of the Springfield area from a spiritual wasteland to a fertile gospel oasis.

  • Mission - God's Command For Our Church

    If vision is a travel brochure that builds anticipation and stirs excitement for where God is taking our church, then mission is the compass that keeps us on track with the vision.


    At Delta Church we exist to Make, Mature, and Multiply disciples. This is the language we use to ignite hearts with redemptive passion and to remind us that we are sent by God as missionaries everywhere and every day. This is why our mission is the compass of our church. It provides direction for all we do and points everyone in the same direction.  

What Does Our Name Mean?

Delta is a word that can mean "change."  If you want to translate the name of our church it would be Change Church. We believe in the power of the gospel to change people, bringing needed salvation to sinners, and to change the Springfield area, bringing needed transformation to our city and surrounding area. 



Affiliations And Partnerships

Delta Church affiliates with the Southern Baptist Convention. This means we are proud to support it's various arms of ministry, such as the North American Mission Board and the International Mission Board. We also affiliate with our local state association, the Illinois Baptist State Association.


Convinced that church planting is crucial to fulfilling Christ's Great Commission, we also partner with Harbor Network, a church planting network based out of Louisville, KY.
